Description

-Bachelor Degree from an accredited university college in Education, Public Health Education or Social Science required or equivalent experience.  
-A Valid Class 5 Drivers License. (Required to submit a SGI drivers abstract)
-A Clear Criminal Records Check  with willingness to undergo a vulnerable sector check. -A willingness to work some evenings and weekends, on a set schedule.  
-Understand and maintain a code of confidentiality and professionalism.  
-Other relevant certificates and training as it pertains to community prevention programming.  -Demonstrated experience: minimum of two years planning, coordinating, evaluating, and providing addictions awareness, and delivering a variety of workshops in various areas of prevention to diverse populations.  
-Demonstrated experience in community organization.
-Wiliness to work with and for families one-on-one to deliver prevention services programming.  
-Demonstrated experience in the management of human service programs.  
-Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, implement, monitor, evaluate, delegate and supervise.  
-Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
-Demonstrated ability to work with boards, committees, officials, and staff of governmental and private organizations, and community groups.  -Demonstrated ability to travel extensively within the QBOCFS service area.
-Assist in the development of community based action plans, as it pertains to the First Nations Community we service.
-Maintain a high level of communication between supervisors and co-workers.  
-Salary is $40,000 -$45,000 per annum, based on experience
