Elmwood Residences Inc. is currently looking for fun loving, enthusiastic workers to join our family.
We are currently looking to casual positions at Kinsmen Manor, with the possibility of becoming part time. Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts including Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends.
Duties include:
Personal Care, recording and reporting, attending appointments, recreational activities and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 and/or equivalent qualifications
- Candidates must hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's license and have a good driving record. Out of province applicants may be required to provide Driver's abstract
- Must be willing to drive a wheelchair van (after training)
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to understand and follow written direction and/or direction provided verbally over the phone
- Flexibility, patience and the ability to cope with unpredictable or aggressive behaviors
- Self directed with demonstrated sound judgement and the ability to independently problem solve
- Clear current Criminal Record Check must be provided at point of hire and upon request
Preferred Qualifications:
- experience in providing personal care
- experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- possess a Rehab Worker Certificate/diploma or Special Care Aide/ Personal Care Aide/ Continuing Care Aide/ Disability Support Worker Certificate
