La Ronge is a community of around 3000 people located near the shores of Lac La Ronge. La Ronge is a northern leader in business, infrastructure, social services, and is home to many recreational opportunities. The La Ronge Regional Housing Authority provides social housing to low-income seniors, families, and others who could not otherwise access, safe, secure shelter within La Ronge and the neighbouring communities.

Are you looking for a career in housing?
The La Ronge Regional Housing Authority is currently hiring for a Maintenance Worker. This position will require travel by plane to northern communities with overnight stays. If you are ambitious and skilled in building and property maintenance, wed love to hear from you!

What youll do:
    maintain all properties managed by the housing authority
    promptly respond to tenant requests for repairs
    provide a high standard of preventative and corrective maintenance of building systems and equipment
    participate in a regular rotation to provide continuous on-call service for emergencies
    provide tenant relations services as required  signing leases; organizing move-ins and move-outs
    promote good working relationships with tenants, the public, and other staff members

What were looking for:
    experience repairing building mechanical equipment; custodial and maintenance work
    knowledge in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting, electrical, and grounds work
    honesty, willingness to learn, ability to handle stress
    the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

What youll need:
    Grade 12 education, preferably supplemented by technical school courses and skills related to maintenance, building, and mechanical trades
    A valid drivers license and a suitable, roadworthy vehicle
