QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be in good physical condition and able to meet the physical demands of the position.
-Legible printing and good basic math skills
-Comfortable working in work environment with varying temperature and moisture conditions and odours
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Forklift experience and certification an asset
-Meat experience and familiarity with cuts of meat and meat processing an asset but not essential
-Food safety certification an asset
DUTIES:
-Manufacturing sausage products
-Assisting with sausage kitchen duties
-Moderate to heavy lifting
-Coordinating and organizing inventory in the coolers and freezers
-Receiving/unloading and verifying supply shipments
-Assembling orders for shipping
-Packaging meat products
-Loading customer pick up orders
-Carrying and emptying inedible barrels
-Assisting with plant sanitation
HOURS:
8 hours per day with potential for a few overtime hours each week
Monday thru Friday, 7-12 and 1-4
WAGES AND BENEFITS:
$11 to $15 per hour
