NOTE: Must be an ESL Instructor at Carlton Trail College in order to qualify for this position.
Reporting to the Literacy Facilitator, PBLA Lead Teachers (LTs) are resource teachers who are drawn from the programs to support, but not supervise or manage, their colleagues in the implementation of PBLA. As PBLA champions and go-to people, LTs contribute to a positive professional development culture within their program. Experienced teachers should be identified by their programs for this role because of their demonstrated excellence in teaching, their range of experience at different Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels and contexts, and their perceived leadership by their colleagues. LTs are key supports for successful PBLA implementation in a program. The careful selection of LTs is considered key to the successful implementation of the PBLA project.
