Responsibilities:
Set up and breakdown buffet with food items, utensils, and proper signs, by scheduled start time.
Maintain food appearance, temperature, and quality throughout the meal period.
Alert the chef of any quality issues with food.
Maintain buffet time logs for food items.
Greet and assist guests with introduction to buffet items, help open chaffers, carry plates.
Polish and maintain all buffet equipment.
Maintain overall presentation of dining room by ensuring that linens and chairs are clean and straight, floors, walls and windows are clean, light bulbs are not burnt out.
Fold napkins according to specified standards.
Alert a manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint, or issue.
Bus dirty plates, glassware, and silverware, clean and reset tables.
Maintain the cleanliness of the buffet per health code standards.
