The Resolution Health Support Worker will provide support to former Indian Residential School (IRS) students and their families, particularly regarding sexual abuse-related issues. Responsibilities:
Provide emotional support to eligible former IRS students and their families throughout the IRS settlement agreement process
Facilitate client access to community and cultural supports
Facilitate training and develop resources on the impacts of sexual abuse for IRS students and their families, service providers, and organizations
Work with SSAIC to integrate content on IRS impacts into services
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Social Work or Indigenous Social Work (or related field)
Experience working with First Nation people, particularly former IRS students and their families
Understanding of First Nation history and culture, particularly the IRS system, its effects, and the current resolution process
Experience with person-centred & trauma-informed practice approaches
2 3 years of experience, especially in the field of sexual assault or relationship violence
Ability to use Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications
Able to present/speak publicly in a variety of settings and with diverse audiences

Candidates must be willing to work some flex time, have access to a reliable vehicle, and have a valid SK drivers license. Some travel will be required. If selected for the position, a Criminal Record Check will be required.
