McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. seeks Transportation Engineers for a number of different positions in three of our Prairie Region branches Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon. The successful candidates will be key members of our regional transportation team, and will play vital roles in the teams growth and further development. They will have an opportunity to participate and/or lead on a wide variety of transportation infrastructure projects ranging from simple intersections to complex design build projects. There is the potential for local and/or regional leadership opportunities.
JOB DUTIES
Leading a dynamic team of engineers, technicians and drafters in the efficient and profitable execution of transportation design and construction assignments
Analyzing markets to capitalize on project opportunities and develop new business
Liaising with key clients, agency representatives and strategic partners
Preparing and submitting superior proposals and technical reports
Cross marketing the companys range of complementary services
Mentoring, training and supporting other professional/junior staff
REQUIREMENTS
8+ years experience in a progressively more challenging transportation role design, construction and/or project management experience in both urban and rural projects is desired
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng), or eligible for registration as a P.Eng in the Provinces of Alberta and/or Saskatchewan
Prior experience in a supervisory/leadership role is an asset
Strong skills in the execution of transportation design projects
Experience on transportation construction projects, from field supervision to construction management
Proven experience with design software (AutoCad, Civil 3D, Mictostation) would be an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sound business development and client liaison skills
Experience with all government levels, private contractors and developers.
