Description

The Maintenance Mechanical Coordinator maintains, overhauls, and repairs HVAC equipment and related systems in all buildings managed by the Saskatoon Housing Authority.
The Maintenance Mechanical Coordinator reports to the Maintenance Services Manager for direction and supervision.  The position is a member of the Maintenance Service Department and coordinates their services with other members of this department particularly the Office Coordinator.  This position also works closely with the Residential Managers and external contractors to ensure that the tenant needs are met within SHA guidelines and policies.

The Maintenance Mechanical Coordinator daily assesses and maintains the safety and security of the properties by following residential standards and codes and the occupational health and safety regulations.

    Assessment, undertakes/completes and/or coordinates repairs and follow-ups related to the site HVAC mechanical and building emergency systems
    Coordinates and makes recommendations on insurance claims with SHC & Insurance Agents
    Assessment, undertakes/completes and/or coordinates work and follow-ups related to special projects as assigned
    Initiates budget recommendations for mechanical systems and special projects
    Communicates effectively and respectively with the tenant, supervisor, residential manager and/or others as appropriate.
