Description

Provide an alternate approach to the well-being of the child, the family and the community that is based on the development of prevention services resting on the foundations of First Nations values and beliefs.  The context of prevention services development will be discussed with the support of family and community members.  The Prevention Services Worker will network with community based programs, the Cote Working Group and YTCCFS Inc. to provide and/or enhance relevant community based prevention services.
Qualifications as required by Cote First Nation:
Certificate in Social Work (CSW or CISW) and 24 months experience in a related field of employment.
OR
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW or BISW)
OR
4 year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline & 18 months experience in a related field of employment
OR
Grade 12 with minimum 5 years experience in a related field of employment.
Legal Requirements:
Must submit a current Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Provide a current Prohibited Drug Test Report Certified by a member in good standing of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
Must possess a Valid Class 5 Sask. Driver's License and a reliable vehicle.
