ACCOUNTING CLERK

The City of Prince Albert is currently inviting applications for a permanent Accounting Clerk position in our Financial Services Department. The Financial Services Department provides a wide range of services to support the operations of the City, as well as to meet the needs of the citizens of the City of Prince Albert.
General Duties:
- Handling cash such as receipting, depositing, balancing, counting and miscellaneous sales.
- Creating and maintaining records such as data entry, checking, posting and balancing.
- Preparation of documents such as requisitions, invoices, billings, statements, and journal entries.
- Attend to inquiries in person, on the telephone and by written communication.
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Certificate in a business related program from a recognized college/university.
- Training and experience in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of basic accounting theories, principles and practices.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and data entry with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to deal effectively with the general public.
