Position and Responsibilities
You will assist the maintenance engineering department with various tasks, including drafting mechanical equipment and installations using various CAD packages, performing mechanical design tasks under the guidance of the maintenance engineers, assisting with equipment inspections and field tests, as well as preparing reports as required to propose solutions to engineering problems. The successful candidates will work a term of approximately four months (May to August) and will assist with a variety of projects and other day-to-day activities. Students will be assigned to positions at the McArthur River operation or Cigar Lake operation and will work a rotational schedule commuting to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
Education and Qualifications
You will be entering your third or fourth year of university in mechanical engineering. You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.
Preference will be given to residents of Saskatchewans north (RSN) pursuing post-secondary education.
Interviews will take place in January/February 2015. Students will be notified if they are selected for an interview.
