Maintenance  Supervisor

This position exists to assist in the creation of a safe workplace and to maintain an effective Maintenance Department at one of our Saskatoon locations, Parrheim Foods.  

Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent will:
     With a hand on approach, direct the daily operations of the Maintenance Department.
    Monitor and reinforce health and safety performance in accordance with policies and procedures.
    Ensure all food safety and HACCP policies and procedures and GMP's are being followed.
    Ensure an effective preventive maintenance program and procedures are in place.
    Manage employees in a manner that is consistent with Company policies and the collective labour agreement.
    Provide support to the Health and Safety Committee.
    Assist the achievement of capital projects.
    Be well organized and maintain complete and accurate files.
    Be able to work evenings, nights and weekends as priorities dictate.

As the successful candidate, you possess:
    Certification as a Millwright or equivalent experience
    Be self motivated and have demonstrated ability to meet the expectations described above.
    Ideally, working knowledge of flour mill operations such as blowers, fans, grinders and filtration equipment.
    Have proven ability with Microsoft Office.
