Description
The Chief Operator will be responsible for the supervision and operation of rail test vehicles by company and industry standards. EXTENSIVE travel is required. The Chief Operator role will be working throughout Saskatchewan & Alberta.
Duties & Responsibilities
Remain well versed in and practice all railroad and highway safety and operating procedures.
Supervise all crew members to ensure a high level of professionalism
Be the primary contact with the customer representatives in the field
Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of equipment
Perform a high quality test and maintain the skill, methods, and practices needed
Produce all necessary paperwork including but not limited to, daily reports, maintenance reports, Trip Reports, etc
Maintains a DOT logbook and timesheets
Supervise the training of new employees
Report daily expenses and parts usage
Required Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalent
Graduated from an approved course in the basics of ultrasonics
Logged the required number of hours as a trainee
Qualified by a Supervisor and the Operations Manager
Valid Drivers license preferred
Class A or B Commercial Drivers License preferred
Qualified in all safe operating practices as required by the company, railroad and other involved agencies
