Description

The Hazardous Waste Specialist safely collects, transports, re-packages and disposes of hazardous waste generated by research and operations on campus; coordinates between waste generators and disposal contractors to find the most economical and responsible waste volume reduction and disposal methods; educates waste generators about best practices for managing hazardous waste; completes decommissioning and decontamination projects related to hazardous materials, and provides hazardous materials emergency response including spill cleanup.
