Responsible for increasing awareness, knowledge and skills of First Nations Members within the YTC communities in the area of employment services through the provision of improved employment and the development of community based models and to provide assistance to community members with information on knowledge and skills necessary to effectively contribute to improved employability.
Provide guidance, support and direction to YTC Personal Development and Employment Stabilization centers and the member communities of the Yorkton Tribal Council.
Provide guidance, advice and develop support systems for communities on employment assessments, case management and follow up, which includes providing assistance on making child care plans, assessing transportation options, changing relationships and lifestyles, punctuality and attendance, job seeking skills, financial budgeting and career development, treatment (which includes employment activities along with group therapy and counseling)
Prepare program activities and workplans
Coordinate training for communities including: Mentor/Career counseling, Resume writing, Job search techniques, Assessments, Life Skills essential skills, Case Management, After care retention and career advancement service, Career path
Develop and explore partnerships and relationships with existing resources in the Labor Market. Provide linkages to existing services and resources outside of Career Centres.
Network with programs that deliver employment skills to enhance the services at the community level.
Utilize and partner with sister organizations to provide best possible service to meet the needs of each individual accessing the Career centers.
Provide proposals and reports as required to meet program requirements and provide briefing notes and follow-reports as required.
Maintain and analyze data as required
Analyze, provide guidance and options on the priorities for the Active Measures
