About the Opportunity
FCI Accelerated Solutions Inc. (FCIAS) has an opportunity for a .NET Developer/Support Analyst to join their Regina team. We offer both full time and contract opportunities.
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Computer Engineering/Computer Science Degree or equivalent
- Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)
- 5-7 years of experience developing business applications and supporting C # with preference given to experience working within the following technologies (.Net 4.0, C#, Entity Framework, MS MVC 3, Web Services/JSON, SQL Server,LINZ, JavaScript and CCA, SharePoint, AJAX, HP Quality Centre, Visual Basic)
- Experience developing or maintaining a .NET class library
- A solid understanding of SOA oriented design principles
- A solid understanding of application vulnerabilities and countermeasures
- Experience producing secure, good quality code
- A broad understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft technologies
- The ability to work with a team as well as independently to complete deliverables within established timelines
- Demonstrated expertise in developing leading-edge enterprise solutions by using the most recent Microsoft .NET Framework
- Knowledge of SQL store procedures (transact SQL)
- Knowledge of entity frameworks
- Knowledge of SQL reporting services
- Knowledge using Oracle databases and SQL coding.
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good communication skills: ability to produce detailed documentation, ability to verbally communicate technical jargon to non-technical people
- Ability to contribute to project planning with work breakdown tasks and accurate estimates.
- Project experience following project processes, standards and documentation requirements as defined by a formal methodology
This position includes on-call and overtime provisions. Some travel may be required.
