The Recreation Maintenance Worker will be required to maintain both the interior and exterior of the facility, as well as the facility grounds, by keeping them in a clean and orderly condition. Outside duties may include: lawn mowing, weeding, trash/litter removal, as well as ensuring sidewalks are free of ice and snow in winter conditions. The Recreation Maintenance Worker also assists in the set-up and tear down/cleaning of events. The ability to complete minor building/equipment repairs would be considered an asset. During the winter season the main focus is on the rink facility specifically ice cleaning with the Zamboni and general maintenance. In the summer months, the main focus will be getting the swimming pool up and running and every day maintenance.
Must be flexible, able to follow directions, and work with minimum supervision. May be required to be on-call for certain events. Reliability/dependability in performing jobs tasks is a must and the ability to work well, and provide quality customer service is imperative. This job may include but is not limited to the above or below duties:
