Description

The Department of Critical Care Saskatoon Health Region is seeking an Intensivist to join our department of Adult Critical Care multidisciplinary team. Our physician team currently provides a 24 hour model of in-house intensive care and medical outreach team.  The SHR Adult critical care department has 30 acute care beds across the two sites, including neurosurgical, trauma, cardiac surgery, thoracic and medical critical care beds. Though the position is exclusively for critical care, SHR has cross department opportunities with several other specialty areas, including opportunity for teaching and research through-out the organization and with the University of Saskatchewan.  
Qualifications / Requirements of the position  Candidates must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with an MD, FRCPC, and be exam eligible in Critical Care Medicine, and be eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Applicants will also have certification in one of the relevant base specialties of Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Medicine or Surgery. Additional considerations include interest in research and patient safety initiatives.
