Reporting to the Director of Long Term Care, the Facility Administrator is responsible for the planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the day to day operational activities of long term care/services/programs for Chateau Providence in St. Brieux.  The Facility Administrator ensures that quality care/services/programs through the implementation of policies and standards that meet with best practice consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the Kelsey Trail Health Region. The Facility Administrator participates in a team concept of management, accepting responsibilities associated with ensuring the coordination of long term care services.  Provides the overall management of the facility in the absence of Departmental Directors and facilitates the interdisciplinary functioning of the building by providing positive leadership and support for continuous quality improvement.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
-Bachelor Degree in Nursing or suitable combination of education and experience.
-Possess a background in Long Term Care with a minimum of five (5) years experience of nursing management and leadership experience.
-Excellent management, leadership, organizational and decision making skills.
-Working knowledge of contractual agreements, labour relations, finances and related health sector skills.
-Understanding of government acts and regulations as they apply to the health sector.
-Demonstrated organizational, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills.
-Advanced Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet.
