Applications are invited for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the Department of Bioresource Policy, Business and Economics commencing July 1, 2015. The position is going through formal university processes to be designated as Chair of Agricultural Policy. This exciting opportunity to join an engaged community of scholars comes with an attractive package of start-up research funding.
Duties: The incumbent will be expected to develop a successful and well-funded program of research in agricultural economics that addresses a broad range of agricultural policy issues, including those of relevance to the canola sector. The incumbent will deliver courses in agricultural economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, in areas such as agricultural policy, industrial organization, innovation, international trade, agri-food marketing. Teaching will be assigned according to the qualifications and expertise of the successful applicant. The incumbent will be expected to provide leadership and mentorship to graduate/undergraduate students in their research and studies. The incumbent will be expected to engage with relevant stakeholders to identify issues, seek and obtain research funds, and communicate research results.

The wage range for this position is: Assistant Professor $90,796 - $109,108; Associate Professor $109,108 - $127,420.
