Saskatchewan Polytechnic is currently recruiting for a temporary full-time position to assist with the Critical Care Nursing Program between November 2014 to June 2015.
Your role as a part-time instructor at Sask Polytechnic will be supported through instructional materials and on-going employer provided training. This may include a requisite faculty certificate program depending on your employment status in future positions. This initiative will develop our instructors professionally while ensuring a high quality learning experience for all Sask Polytechnic students.
Job Duties
1. Facilitate program delivery by providing assistance with tutorials, psychomotor skills labs and seminars. Assists with coordination and supports clinical experiences and curriculum revision as needed.
2. Manage the learning environment; provide student support and counselling to facilitate student success.
3. Evaluate and monitor student progress and program effectiveness.
4. Facilitate effective and efficient program administration.
5. Develop and maintain agency/community relations.
6. Travel may be required.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
1. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or in a related field.
2. Eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association.
3. Two years recent and relevant clinical experience in adult critical care in an active tertiary care unit.
4. Evidence of knowledge and skills related to the teaching of adults, teaching methodology, curriculum development and evaluation.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and competence in adult critical care nursing.
6. Demonstrated effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
7. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
