De Lage Landen, a fully owned subsidiary of Rabobank Group, specializes in asset-based financing programs for equipment manufacturers, dealers and distributors all over the world. Our programs cover our customers total distribution chain, as well as the entire lease lifecycle. We offer customers a single source for leasing, administration, risk and asset management solutions.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is primarily responsible for development and management of vendor relationships and growing existing dealer relationships for De Lage Landen Canada. The BDM acts as the primary contact for specific dealers, and will be responsible for contacting and maintaining the day-to-day activities of the dealers directly on all transactions and initiatives. The BDM is located and transacts all business from within the Manitoba and Saskatchewan territory.
Specific Accountabilities
Identify, target and qualify prospective relationships in the Construction, Transportation and Industrial market
Develop and deliver proposals for long-term client partnerships
Establish and maintain proactive relationships with internal DLL operational departments
Prepare and distribute monthly pipeline of business opportunities
Review all pending applications to determine possible next steps and to contact dealer if deemed necessary
Propose deal structures
Create, manage and achieve commercial/performance target goals
Create PowerPoint presentation, training manuals and communication collateral internally and externally
Report on transactional activities as required
Qualifications
Minimum College Diploma or University Degree in Business or equivalent experience
Previous credit experience and prior client relationship management experience
Proven sales, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
