We are currently accepting applications for the position of Home Centre Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pineland Co-op Home Centre. Duties will include the organization and co-ordination of large volumes of lumber products, overseeing project estimates and contractor relationships along with responsibility for overseeing budgeting, ordering, receiving, department business planning, and merchandising for the lumber, hardware and service station / gas bar departments.
Preferred skills:
retail building materials management experience
background in hardware retailing, complete with excellent product knowledge
comprehensive knowledge of construction technology, building codes and project estimating
strong business management, administrative and supervisory skills
demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills, along with good interpersonal, organizational and sales skills
technical training in construction, construction management, and relevant experience are required.
