Assistant Manager - The Centre Food Store

The Saskatoon Co-op is now accepting applications for a Temporary Full-Time Assistant Manager at The Centre Food Store in Saskatoon, SK.  The Co-operative Retailing system offers competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package including pension, and the opportunity to be a part of this growing member owned and truly Canadian company.

The Assistant Manager will be tasked with:

    Assist the Grocery Manager in organizing and directing the activities and operations of the Grocery department to achieve budgeted goals
    Procurement of merchandise, using good inventory management practices
    Organizing, directing and scheduling staff as per department requirements
    Supervize the promotional activities at store level including the building of displays and use of POP materials
    Processing of invoices, claims and reports as required

Qualified applicants must have:

    Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in a retail setting
    Must possess a minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
    Must have minimum 6 months' experience performing administrative procedures including general office paperwork
    Skill in directing, coaching and training of staff
    Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills
