Under the supervision of and reporting directly to the Principal, and Aboriginal HIPPY Program Coordinator and as a member of the Professional Learning Community, the Aboriginal HIPPY Home Visitor is responsible for the development of a home instruction program for preschool youngsters to improve their linguistic, social and cognitive skills.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Executing the curriculum with his or her own child or practice child daily.
2.Meeting and role playing the curriculum with asigned families each week.
3.Participation in the planning and orchestration of group meetings which included role playing the curriculum and the provision of an enriched activity.
4.Timely completion and submission of required forms and other documentation as required by the coordinator and/or HIPPY Canada.
7.Participation in all sponsored HIPPY activities (e.g., filed trips, graduations, awards, ceremonies, etc.)
1.Graduation from High School or possession of a GED certificate and a minimum of one year experience with children and families would be an asset.
2.A parent of three, or four year old child or access to a practice child of the appropriate age (a child with whom the home visitor daily executes the HIPPY curriculum)
4.A resident of the community seeking Home Visitor.
5.Access to reliable transportation.
6.Requires a valid drivers license appropriate driving record and auto liability insurance that meets the minimum required by the province of Saskatchewan.
7.Must have a CPIC and vulnerable sector check completed.
