As a Small Engine - Small Tool Mechanic,

Key Responsibilities:
The mechanic will work to keep all equipment in top running condition through an effective preventative maintenance program
Must be a master technician and assumes a leadership role of product knowledge and standard of quality within the branch
Has mastered the operating standards of his branch, the region and corporate
Able to perform their role without direct supervision
You'll be responsible for repairs to all rental equipment, shop equipment, and trucks in accordance with HERC quality and efficiency standards.  

Education:
Licensed/Certified Mechanic

Requirements:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot: Fuel Systems, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems
In depth knowledge of small combustible engines (Diesel and Gas)
Knowledge of pneumatic tools
Able to perform complete repair and overhaul functions
Ability to diagnose and repair all types of compaction (Diesel and gas plate tampers, walk behind rollers, drive on rololers, jumping jacks) would be an asset
Maintains a safe and clean work environment
Willingness to work overtime when required
Maintain a clean driving record
Clean Driver's abstract and valid Class 5 Driver's License
Able to lift 50+ lbs
