Description

The City of Humboldt invites submission of applications for the full time permanent position of Accountant Supervisor. Under the direction of the Finance Manager, you shall conduct and supervise all accounting procedures of the City to ensure the supply of accurate and timely financial information for decision-making purposes and to offer recommendations to the Finance Manager on any financial matter.

You will maintain control and accountability for the General Ledger and Accounts Payable, assist in the preparation of year end and create a strong working relationship with the City Auditors.

Applicants will have a certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance or Public Administration from a University, College or Technical Institute. Applicants with computer experience working with an accounting program will be preferred. Computer knowledge of Great Plains Software, Excel and knowledge of payroll and accounts receivable will be considered an asset.
