Description

The City of Weyburn is a dynamic, progressive municipality located in the heart of Southeast Saskatchewan. The City has a population of 10,500 and a solid economic and community foundation upon which new opportunities are continuously built.

This permanent, full time position is an integral component of our refuse collection processes.  We are seeking a long term, goal-oriented individual with interest in a municipal career.

The successful candidate(s) will:
- have completed Grade 12 or equivalent
- possess a valid Class 3(A) Driver's license with a clean abstract
- possess the ability to adhere to defined processes, stringent collection schedules and established routes.  Familiarity with the City of Weyburn's street and road system would be an asset
- be physically fit and prepared to work in the outdoor environment in all weather conditions
- be prepared to perform all other duties as required
- be required to participate in the afterhours and weekend "On Call" rotation.

Preference will be given to those candidates who:
- have familiarity with automated, sidearm collection systems.

Salary will commensurate with qualifications & as per CUPE Local 90 agreement
