Description

Starting Date:   January 5, 2015
The University of Regina invites applications for one tenure-track ESL Instructor appointment.  The successful candidate will teach ESL courses in an integrated skills program over three 13 week semesters for 17 contact hours per week.  Level and salary are commensurate with professional experience and qualifications; applied according to the URFA Collective Agreement.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
?    Masters in Education or a Masters of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language ; a Masters degree in related areas such as Applied Linguistics, English, Curriculum Design will also be considered.
?    TESL Canada certification at Level 2 (or equivalent) or by TESL Saskatchewan accreditation
?    A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes, experience in teaching in an integrated skills program.
?    Must possess knowledge of second language acquisition and teaching methodology.
?    Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and a creative and reflective approach to language teaching.
?    Knowledge of Canadian Language Benchmarks
?    Must be a collegial team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
