The Distance Education Instructor Aide will work in a learning centre environment to provide adults registered in distance education modes of post-secondary subjects with educational support.  This support will include assisting students with all their learning needs; promoting a positive learning environment; monitoring a computer lab; maintaining building and equipment security; promoting distance education learning skills; promoting distance education opportunities; working as part of a team dedicated to increasing student retention and success; and other duties as assigned.

The minimal qualifications for this position are a relevant two year post-secondary diploma; strong computer skills; recent/relevant experience in distance education; and strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor?s Degree.
