The Regina Work Preparation Centre looking for an energetic and creative people-person who will:
facilitate connections and partnerships with local employers to identify and create employment opportunities for our clients
assist individuals to match their skills and interests with employment opportunities and employer needs
The successful candidate will contribute to the strengthening of Regina by:
developing and maintaining relationships with employers
identifying and securing sustainable work opportunities for job seekers, particularly those who are unlikely to succeed in conducting their own job search
being conversant with labour market conditions and future challenges faced by jobseekers and employers
understanding and responding to the human resource needs of employers
maintaining effective relationships with the work prep team, employers, community and job seekers to develop sustainable employment opportunities
mentoring job seekers and employers to ensure job retention
meeting with jobseekers prior to marketing to employers to ensure a good job match and where appropriate assist employment counsellors in preparing jobseekers for employment
where appropriate, providing employers with sensitivity/diversity training and information on accommodation needs in collaboration with the Aboriginal Liaison
We are looking for the following education and experience:
postsecondary degree or certificate
certification or a commitment to pursue certification in Reality Therapy and Motivational Interviewing
two years related experience
a combination of education and experience may be accepted
valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
able to accommodate work outside of normal business hours
