Description

A full time Live-in Caregiver is required to care for three children, at a private home. The caregiver must reside in private residence during the duration of employment. The employer will provide private accommodations within the home at $ 200/month.
   Applicant is expected to be in possession of Grade 12 diploma or its equivalent.  Ability to communicate in basic French is an asset.  Applicants must have at least 1 year experience in a caregiver position or in a related field (including 6 months with the same employer) during the past 2 years.

   On a day-to-day basis you will be expected to look after the children with housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, and positive entertainment. Must be able to speak and read English fluently.  Serious inquiries only. Security and Safety - basic security clearance and criminal record check (abstract) is required. The successful candidate will work 5 days a week with Saturdays and Sundays off. The successful candidate will be provided with CPR and First aid training, paid by the employer.  The successful candidate will have to provide care for three children:  Kindergarten age (4 years), School age (6 years) and Toddler (1 year) for the duration of employment. Public transportation is available.

  Duties/ responsibilities of the Live-in caregiver include the following:
- Prepare toddler and children for rest periods.
- Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of the parents.
- Bathe, dress and feed toddler and children.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Supervise and care for children. Take children to and from school bus.
- Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
