Description

Adecco is current recruiting for a Director of Swine Production on behalf of our client.  This is permanent role will be based in our clients corporate office in Humboldt, SK.  Reporting to the Vice President of Swine Production, Western Canada, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for contributing an executive level to the ongoing stability of the company.


Responsibilities for the Director, Swine Production will include, but are not limited to

- Production planning and overseeing all production processes;
- Setting budget/production goals and targets;
- Budget/Financial/Production reporting;
- Ensuring that adequate resources (personnel, training and financial) are in place for all levels of management oversight;
- Planning 1,3,5 year capex requirements;
- Develop and improve management, financial and technical skills on an ongoing basis;
- Promote and support a high standard of health and safety throughout all production systems;
- Assume increased knowledge, skills and capabilities and remain current within the industry.


Key requirements for this position include;

- Bachelor of Business administration, Engineering, Operations or in another relevant field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in swine production management; experience in other livestock production management will also be considered;
- Experience managing a range of production projects and continuous improvement;
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, create strategies, successfully drive improvements and grow;
- Must have demonstrated ability to lead and develop direct reports for succession opportunities;
- Must have the ability to lead within and deal with high-pressure situations;
- Strong business background and acumen.
