Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
    The role of a Maintenance Engineer is to undertake any scheduled and/or breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
    Arrive to work on time and properly dressed in uniform
    Maintenance engineers must have a good knowledge of logistics, statistics, and probability, and an excellent understanding of how the machinery that they are working with operates
     They need to have excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills, and be good at negotiation
    Power engineer papers preferred
    Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
    Responding to breakdowns that happen in the rooms, or other departments of the hotel
    To be able to diagnose faults to the required machinery, or equipment
    Fixing faults of arranging for replacements to be installed
    To repair any equipment that may be malfunctioning or that has broken down
    Performs basic electrical repair work for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, appliances, and lighting systems; reports unsafe electrical conditions
    Supervising engineering and technical staff
    Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
    Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    Arrive to work on time and in necessary work attire
    Must perform tasks like the repairing of various equipments and materials, replacement of electronics, cleaning or wiring work
    Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures
    Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment
    Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces seals and other minor parts; repairs, replaces and maintains hot water heaters and other appliances
