Description

REQUIREMENTS:
Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering Tech preferred. High school diploma or equivalent will be considered dependent upon qualified experience
Minimum 3 years oil production experience would be an asset, including plant process, gas compression.  Knowledge of Submersible pumps, pump jacks & related equipment preferred.
Completed or willing to complete SAIT Field Progression training requirements
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork
Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.  Must be able to learn and work with all Apache based software programs.
Work shift schedule for plant operations and field operations.  Will be required to be on call
Valid Class 5 drivers license
The successful applicant will reside in the Weyburn/Estevan, SK area or close proximity

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct routine monitoring and maintenance of plant facilities, producing wells, test facilities and injection facilities
Manage compliance initiatives including O & M manuals, MOC, pipelines, vessels, tanks and PSVs
Do regulatory compliance checks; maintain compliance with Apache and M.O.E.
Support and initiate safe work practices "Target 0" initiatives
Ensure operations are carried out in a cost-effective manner
Conduct monthly cost controls and production tracking
Contribute to the team achievement of meeting business, environmental, health and safety targets

 - Operate electronic or computerized control panel from a central control room
 - Monitor outside process equipment
 - Monitor and optimize physical and chemical process for several processing units
 - Develop operator procedures for normal operation, start-up or shut-down
 - Control process start-up, shut-down and troubleshooting
