Description

Construction Site

Prepares and maintains the construction site schedule for all on-site staff;
Coordinates work schedules and assigns work to all staff;
Provides weekly updates and meetings on project status to all staff;
Negotiates with contracting companies in order to get supplies, equipment and additional personnel to meet construction schedule;
Ensures all reports, records, timesheets and relevant documentation are submitted on time;
Approves trade partner invoices for payment;
Orders construction material from suppliers i.e. steel, wood, windows, trusses;
Reviews and revises architectural changes and customer extras on drawings and plans;
Works with and manages the Minto policy expectations throughout the project;
Attends all worker trade and joint health and safety committee meetings;
Record, enforce and update the Minto database daily on disciplinary action as required;
Ensure after hours and weekend security is in place for construction site;

Management and Leadership

Supervises, trains and provides direction on all work performed on-site by trade partners, labourers, clerks and foreman;
Builds, manages, and maintains a high performance team through effective talent recruitment, coaching, and development;
Sets high standards, establishes accountabilities and measures performance consistent with Mintos Values;
Inspects the work site continuously to ensure all Minto staff and trades partners abide by Ministry of Ontario Labour regulations and Mintos Health & Safety Policies;
Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management
