Packard Electric is an electrical & instrumentation service & supply contractor primarily serving the oil & gas sector in Southwest Saskatchewan.
This role will include assisting in the implementation of corporate health & safety programs, procedures, & policies. They will be accountable for safe work practices, training, evaluations, compliance monitoring, record keeping, & reporting.
Duties/responsibilities to include:
Maintain & update HSE program.
Updating & creating Safe Work Procedures.
Compliance with ISNetworld & Comply Works
Prepare & conduct regular monthly safety meetings & OHS Committee meetings
Order & maintain all required personal protective equipment
Ensure all safety documentation is completed for each project.
Provide periodic updates & statistics to management
Monthly inspections on equipment & work sites.
Incident/accident follow up & investigation.
Filing & data entry
Generate incident reports, provide recommendations & implement corrective actions
Tracking/booking safety training. Ensure all worker certifications are current
Participate in development & execution of field staff safety orientation training
Train new employees on the health & safety orientation.
Qualifications/skills:
At least 3 years of experience in a safety orientated role in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
Possess certification in H2S, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined space, or the ability to obtain certification, plus other related safety courses.
OHS Level 1 & 2 courses.
Detailed knowledge of the OH&S regulations
Experience in the implementation of standardized health & safety policies, procedures & programs.
