Saskatoon Public Schools invites applications from individuals interested in Caretaker and Caretaker Fireman positions within the school division. Under the general supervision of the immediate supervisor, the Caretakers and Caretaker Fireman positions performs a range of functions to ensure school division facilities have a safe, clean, learning and working environment. These positions may require evening (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) and weekend shifts.
Applicants for Caretaker positions must possess a Grade 10 or equivalent, and the ability and willingness to obtain a Firemans, 5th Class Engineers (or higher) certification from the provincial boiler and pressure vessel branch. Preference will be given to applicants already possessing their Firemans or 5th Class Engineers (or higher) certification. Individuals must have a demonstrated ability to work and get along with people of all ages.
Saskatoon Public Schools provides quality education; through its over 2,400 professional and support staff to more than 22,000 students in 44 elementary schools, 11 secondary schools and 3 associate schools in Saskatoon.
