Description

Completing all accounting functions of the office, including budget preparation, financial reporting, transaction documentation and various audit reports;
Completing transactional reports & reporting for commissioned sales associates;
Completing employee payroll, including compensation & benefit administration;
Completing account payable/receivable documents, invoicing and budget preparation for consulting & advisory services;
Providing administrative support to the Managing Director and others when/as required;
Serving as a first point of contact for financial and transactional functions within the office, and among counterparts in the corporate offices of Avison Young;
Demonstrating excellent leadership and collaboration skills among the administration team by effectively interfacing with the marketing, research and reception staff.

Provide general accounting services related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, job costing, general ledger posting, daily and weekly reporting;
Process WCB, GST, PST, payroll source deductions and trust accounts, ensuring all regulatory filings are completed and submitted on a timely basis;
Complete banking activity, online transfers and bank account reconciliation; process month end documentation and prepare monthly financial statements. Collaborate with external accountants in the preparation and submission of year end statements;
Process sales and leasing transaction reports, within the guidelines of the office and to the standards of industry jurisdictions having authority over the office;
Provide back-up support and assistance to the sales and marketing teams on an as-needed basis; oversee and coordinate operational needs, including maintenance, furnishings and equipment, information technology and office supplies;
Serve as a liaison to the information technology service provider for all technology-based troubleshooting
