Adecco Saskatoon is currently recruiting for a permanent full time Legal Assistant to join our clients experienced law firm in Saskatoon,Sk. Our Client is a firm of dedicated attorneys who specialize in a wide range of services all over the province. They pride themselves on building strong relationships with their clients through independent thinking and innovative solutions.
As a Legal Assistant with this firm, you will have the responsibility of providing a high level of legal assistance to two lawyers, one focusing on real estate and the other on corporate and commercial law.
Key responsibilities for the Legal Assistant role include:
- Transcribing, editing and drafting documents from voicemail, email and dictation
- Responding to client requests and instructions
- Handling corporate and residential real estate transactions including mortgages and financing documentation.
- Carrying out due diligence procedures
- Generating will and trust documentation
- Scheduling client appointments
- Conducting ISC, PPR and corporate searches
- Entering lawyers billing times
- Processing monthly client billing
Skills & Qualifications include:
- The ideal candidate will have graduated from a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program and/or have a minimum of three to five years of experience in real estate law.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to delegate and communicate effectively; both verbal and written
- Experience in working with Land Registry, Corporations Branch and the Personal Property Registry is highly desirable
- Subject matter expert in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
