Reporting to the Bank Shift Manager, the Cashier is responsible for performing a variety of banking services and monetary transactions for casino guests and staff. Cashiers provide exceptional customer service for our guests and customer assistance through the friendly and efficient exchange of cash, coins, coupons, e-tickets and casino chips. The Cashier receives and pays out money and keeps records of exchange transactions in the casino. The Cashiers consistently follow procedures to safeguard the assets in the cash desk and performs accurate reporting and reconciliation of transactions.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of grade 10 education. The candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience handling and balancing large amounts of cash and a minimum of 6 months customer service experience.
Competencies:
Using a variety of assessment tools such as in-person interviews, written examinations, role plays and reference checks, candidates will be assessed against the following competencies:
? Knowledge of the standards, practises, procedures and internal controls related to processing monetary transactions and maintaining integrity of large amounts of cash
? Knowledge of and ability to understand and adhere to guest service standards
? Ability to demonstrate and adhere to principles of teamwork
? Skill in communicating effectively, courteously, and respectfully with SaskGaming guests and co-workers
? Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
Conditions of Employment:
You will be at least 19 years of age to apply. You will be required to obtain and maintain a Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority - Gaming Employee Certificate of Registration. You will be required to work shift work which includes evenings, nights and weekends. You will also be required to successfully complete the Cashier training program.
