Are you a team player with the ability to support the activities of merchandise replenishment, merchandise presentation, and the activities of a merchandising team supporting the needs of all departments/areas within a store? Then consider Merchandise Presentation Associate as a possible next step in your career path.
This position is primarily responsible for providing overall coordination and support to the placement of merchandise on the sales floor, and execution of the promotional ad setups and seasonal flexes, in order to maximize sales and profitability consistent with Sears Mission, Vision and Values.
This involves:
Participating in the handling of new receipts, ensuring merchandise reaches its final destination on the sales floor prior to sale, and is presented and signed in accordance with company standards.
Collaborating with the Merchandising Lead and other store management and merchandising/logistics partners to ensure merchandise is staged, available, and ready for the customer;
Providing coaching and training to associates and coworkers in merchandising standards in their areas of expertise;
Engaging customers in proactive contact to support the selling activities and customer loyalty while on the sales floor, in keeping with Sears standards of Service Excellence;
Supporting the activities of the Price Change and Inventory taking team in support of inventory and pricing accuracy.
Success in this role calls for strong merchandise presentation and customer service skills. The ideal job candidate will have experience as a sales associate, or prior merchandising or logistics experience.
