We currently have an opportunity for a SaskPower Gas Inspector in Regina, Sk.

Major Responsibilities
The employee in this classification is responsible to inspect and enforce applicable code standards for Natural Gas, Manufactured Gas, Propane, Propane Gas and Air Mixes, Digester, Hydrogen, Butanes and butylenes, and Oil Burner equipment and to ensure that all equipment and associated components are installed and operating safely and in compliance with current codes and legislation.

Typical, but not all-inclusive, duties are as follows:
Inspect installations and equipment on residential, commercial, industrial and oilfield premises and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards

Notify building owners and contractors of substandard equipment/installations

Ensure gasfitters and contractors possess appropriate qualifications and licenses

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
Journeyperson Plumber or Pipefitter supplemented by a General Gas Fitters license issued by the appropriate designated Provincial authority having jurisdiction
Five years post journeyperson experience as a General Gas Fitter, with experience in installations and service
Proven skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal personnel, contractors, customers and external agencies
Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment relevant to the position
Ability to perform they physical requirements of the job
Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers licence
