Valard Construction is seeking 49 skilled hard working Powerline Technicians to work in Saskatchewan in the following areas:
Key Lake:            
Lindsay Lake:    
Island Falls:      

Terms of employment:
Full time, Overtime, Day Evening
Salary:
$44.98-$50.31 per hour
Education:
Some high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Lineman Trade Certification, Lineman Red Seal Certificate, certificate, Lineman Vocational Training Certificate.

Experience:
3 years to less than 5 years

Languages:
English

Construction, Maintenance, Repair, Service

Type of Establishment Experience:
Electric Power Company, Electrical contractor, Public utility commission

Type of Equipment:
Power line and cables, Insulators, Conductors, Lightning arrestors, Switches, Transformers, Poles, towers and guy wires, Hydraulic buckets


Specific Skills:
Install, repair and maintain electrical distribution and transmission systems, Erect and maintain poles, towers and guy wires, Splice, solder and insulate conductors and wiring, Inspect and test power lines and cables, Adhere to safety practices and procedures
