Description

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Ironworkers to join our Ledcor Industrial team in Joffre, AB. The successful candidates will be fabricating structural steel buildings. Living out allowance and radial allowance (tax free) will be provided for eligible candidates. Comprehensive benefits package provided through CLAC. This is a long term project with a completion date projected for mid year 2015.

Ledcor Industrial offers an integrated range of services from construction, engineering, and maintenance to pipe fabrication and module assembly.

Responsibilities

Fabricates structural steel buildings, ornamental ironwork and pre-cast structures on a variety of projects
Studies blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the lay out of work
Installs scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment
Positions steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts
May perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Must have a Journeyman Ironworker Ticket or be a registered Ironworker Apprentice
Must have rigging experience
Must have experience working at heights
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Must possess or be willing to acquire CSTS .09 certification
Must possess a valid form of government issued photo ID
Must be able to travel to and from site every shift
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Work Conditions

Applicants that reside in Alberta will be given preference due to the location of this project
10 on/4 off shift rotation working 10 hours per day (shift commencing on Tuesday)
Living out allowance provided for eligible candidates
Travel allowance provided for eligible candidates
Benefits provided by CLAC
4% RSP Contribution
2% Employer Matched Pension
10% Vacation Pay
Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
