The IT Technical Analyst works directly with the Technical Services Manager, Technical Team Lead, Operational Business Analyst, and Project Coordinator, to monitor and maintain enterprise direction regarding Branch system functionality and services. The IT Technical Analyst will design solutions based on needs expressed by internal and external users, Branch management, and other stakeholders. The IT Technical Analyst ensures any points of interconnection to the 911 emergency response system are maintained according to public safety standards.
Position Authority:
The IT Technical Analyst is responsible for; software and hardware support for the Provincial Emergency Communication Centre (PECC) operational environment including internal and external users; providing 2nd level technical support for Computer Aided Dispatch systems and services; providing assistance and support to internal and external users and strategic partners; providing systems and services support to the mobile environment including configuration, deployment, and maintenance. Each function will be delivered in accordance with Branch, PECC, and industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Position Requirements:
- A Diploma or certificate in a related Information Technology field and five years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of Windows 7, Microsoft Office Suite, IP Networking, Windows Server platforms
