Description

Bourgault Industries is seeking a motivated and experienced Engineer or Technologist to join our Tooling/Manufacturing Engineering team in St. Brieux, SK.
The purpose of this position is:
To design tools required in the manufacturing of agricultural equipment, such as tools for welding, robot weld, mill fixtures, etc.
To carry out planning, equipment sourcing, design, and management for projects involving the installation of manufacturing equipment or facilities
To implement process improvements that increase production efficiencies, in accordance with the short-term needs and long term goals of Bourgault Industries
To process new product bulletins and engineering change bulletins by entering routings and designing tooling to manufacture new and revised parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design tooling for weld, robot weld, and CNC mill fixtures
Catalog, organize, and develop maintenance schedules for all tooling
Develop and document standard work
Implement lean manufacturing principles on the production floor and in the office
Review & coordinate engineering changes
Design equipment, tooling, or processes to improve safety, quality or productivity issues
Design processes and process layouts using lean principles to minimize waste
Conduct time studies to develop base times or evaluate different processes

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Strong industrial/manufacturing engineering background
Knowledge of tooling design is a strong asset
Extensive knowledge & application of lean manufacturing principles
3D CAD experience is required (SolidWorks preferred)
Strong computer skills
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail
Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
