Description

Adecco Employment Services is currently looking to
fill a full time permanent Financial Controller
job in Biggar, SK Reporting directly to the
President & CEO, the role of the Financial
Controller is encompasses the overall accounting
operations of the company, production of periodic
financial statements and reports, maintenance of
an adequate system of accounting records, and a
comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed
to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the
company's reported financial results, and ensure
that reported results comply with financial
reporting standards.

Ideally possessing a manufacturing background, the
responsibilities for the Financial Controller job
include;
-Track the performance of the company through
monthly financial reporting and preparation of
Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet
-Ensure appropriate systems and internal controls
are implemented and maintained
-Prepare high quality financial statements and
other financial information and reports complete
with all necessary working papers and supporting
documentation.
-Assist in developing a strong product costing
system and analyze production costs with an aim to
improve production efficiencies.
-Assist management in cash flow decisions,
budgeting and financial analysis
-Lead, supervise, train and develop the accounting
team members.
-Ensure the effective communication flow with
operational management which will allow finance to
identify and mitigate problem areas as well as
exploit opportunities.
-Oversee the Payroll process

Qualifications Include;
-5 to 10 years of progressively responsible
accounting experience in a manufacturing industry.
-Professional accounting designation, CA, CPA, CMA
or CGA.
-High attention to detail combined with strong
analytical skills.
-Excellent communications skills.
-Proven leadership skills combined with the
ability to work effectively as part of a team
