Description

The Saskatchewan Polytechnic is hiring a Director, Library and Testing Services for our Regina Campus.

General Accountability
The director is accountable to the associate vice-president, academic & research for the effective management and leadership of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic library & testing services. The director has primary responsibility of leadership for a team of librarians and staff dedicated to the information, research, testing and copyright services, and library needs of faculty, students and staff in teaching and learning at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

Nature and Scope
Based in Regina, this position is one of seven reporting to the associate vice-president, academic & research, along with the director of instructional & leadership development centre, director of applied research and innovation, director of learning technologies, program head of recognition of prior learning, program head of the Simulation Centres and an executive assistant. Personnel are located at various campuses.

As part of the senior management team, the director will be responsible for overseeing all library and test centre operations and services, including preparing and managing budgets, business planning, evaluating services, developing and implementing library and test centre policies and procedures, coordinating collection development, supervising librarians and staff on all campuses, and balancing existing library and test centre services and resources with emerging technologies.
